Team Parents - this has been 2 moms in the past. These people help with organizing team bonding activities and dinners. They may get a sign up going with dates and then parents can decide what they would like to do. We have had bonfires, spaghetti dinners, sleepovers, etc. Team parents have helped with Homecoming floats and parade details. Floats are a big job and should be shared by many. Team parents also help organize food for tournaments. I have included a list that has been used in the past. Usually, team parents will assign food items for each tournament. The girls will bring it the morning of the tourney and put it in a cooler for lunch. This way they have healthy things to eat during the day and it tends to be less expensive than purchasing food at the tournament. Tournament Food Menu Sample - feel free to use this and change player names and food items!!
Homecoming Float - Usually many parents are involved in this event. But, a couple parents (that are more creative than me) will organize planning meetings with the girls. Homecoming Parade is TBD and it usually takes a few meetings to get a plan set. After that, the building takes place. This can be done in a few nights and usually starts the weekend before Homecoming.
Banquet, Parent Night & Senior Night Set Up - These nights are easy volunteer jobs. Tables may need to be set up, cake ordering, cake cutting, purchasing plates, forks, cups and punch. More specific information will be shared with people that volunteer for these jobs. The Booster club reimburses the costs for all supplies purchased for these special events.
Youth Volleyball Tournament - Players are expected to work this event. Parents are welcome to volunteer, but the girls should be able to cover all jobs and shifts that day. We asked that all parents/families make a food or drink donation to concessions for the tournament. A sign up sheet will be sent out in the middle of September with items that can be donated.
